Tonasco Wire-EDM accuracy:
- For pitching less than 100mm, the accuracy is within ± 0.002mm.
- For pitching more than 100mm, the accuracy is within ± 0.005mm.
Challenges in Wire EDM process:
- Achieving and maintaining high accuracy is particularly challenging when working with intricate and thin components that require tight tolerances.
- Wire EDM process generates heat during the machining process, which can result in heat-affected zone. This heat can cause warping or distortion of the parts.
- Machining thin and small parts can make them susceptible to vibration and deflection.
